Sculpted by Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig, produced in ceramic by Lesli Kathman, and painted by Adalee Velasquez, I am happy to present:
"Charlotte & Chickadee"
Charlotte & Chickadee are earthenware ceramic versions of Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig's popular "Vixen" and "Imp" sculptures. These are the first pieces in ceramic being sold together as a set. Adalee Velasquez of Velasquez Artistry has painted them as buckskin tobianos. They are both mini scale, yet are packed with detail.
"Charlotte", the mare, was done in a silvery, buttermilk-colored dapple buckskin, with plenty of contrast to her coat. Her muzzle is decorated in soft tones of grey, punctuated by a pink snip with spots. Her lightly-mapped tobiano markings do not hide her delicately dappled coat, which fades from dark to light. Her hand-detailed mane and tail also lovely in their two-tone shades. Hoof stripes, growth rings, and ermine spots round out the details on this lively lady!
"Chickadee", Charlotte's colt, is a fuzzy wee thing in slightly warmer shades of buckskin. He wears a jaunty blaze ending in pink with a chinspot on his tiny soft muzzle. He also features hand-painting in his mane and tail, and has hoof-stripes, growth-rings and ermine spots on his feet. You just won't believe how small he is, and yet he has so much character!
These pieces were photographed with different cameras and lighting to help give a sense of their colors (color may vary by monitor).
Please see the Velasquez Artistry Sales Policy before bidding on this set. The winner will be subject to it. Time payments may be considered if you contact me prior to bidding. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! Thanks so much!
